No less than 500 architecture and film fans came yesterday to Jeugdtheater Hofplein for the opening of the Architecture Film Festival Rotterdam. In the impressive complex of Technicon designed by the architect Hugh Maaskant with the concrete decoration wall of Karel Appel a weekend of architecture in the film was launched.

The film Visual Acoustics (Eric Brickner, 2008) was the opening film. The film is a tribute to the recently deceased architectural photographer Julius Shulman. Website film Julius Shulman
