Mirror Rotterdam focuses on six comparable cities that have undergone after World War II a substantial spatial and programmatic transformation The scale of change and the rigorous approach did not lead to a desired urban quality in recent decades The expectation is that a form of participatory development, open planning, in the future can deliver that quality. By comparing spatial structure, goals and programmatic developments together, we gain insight into interesting alternatives. How do other cities deal to with the same problem? How do they make development possible? How do they turn ambitions into long-term strategies?
